Let’s answer your questions!

Why choose Cabuya Lodge and Costa Yoga for your Yoga Teacher Training?

This immersion training is one of the only trainings in the world where you can bring your family along. Not only do we allow families, we WELCOME them with open arms. We offer a child care program for during class times, as well as options for other family members to experience the beauty of Cabuya and the surrounding areas while you’re in class.

The food is unbelievably delicious! Experience authentic Costa Rican cuisine at its best. We serve 3 meals per day, plus fruit, coffee and tea in the mornings and an afternoon snack. We also cater to any dietary restrictions, such as gluten or dairy free, vegetarian or vegan.

Mandy Lawson is a down-to-earth, fun-loving, authentic, attentive and intelligent teacher. There is a perfect balance of fun and light-heartedness, and serious study of the ancient tradition of Yoga.

Small class sizes! We accept a maximum of 10 students per training. This way you get lots of one on one time with Mandy, and also great bonding with your peers.

Time in nature. Cabuya Lodge sits between the jungle and the ocean, you can hear the waves of the Pacific Ocean and the call of the Congo monkeys at the same time. Mother nature is a powerful teacher and she will be present!

Do I need to already be “good” at Yoga to take this training?

There is actually no such thing as being “good at Yoga”! Thank goodness right? There is no prerequisite in terms of previous knowledge to attend this training. Upon registration you will be gifted Costa Yoga’s online program “From the Ground Up” to make sure that all students have covered those basics prior to the training. We welcome students of all levels and we will be covering all of the basics in the training together. If you have an injury or are physically limited in some other way, please do not worry. Just chat with Mandy when you register and she will help you with any variations that may be needed.
